Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], September 24:<\/strong> Actress Sufia Tanweer, who plays an important role in the upcoming Hindi social psychological thriller \u2018Oye Chill Maar\u2019, is excited about the film\u2019s theatrical release on September 25. The actress plays a social media influencer who is deeply obsessed with views, followers and online validation.<\/p>\n

Talking about her character, Sufia said, \u201cMy character is a social media influencer who is extremely obsessed with views, followers and the attention she receives online. As the story progresses, we see how excessive exposure to the digital world and constant interaction with an online audience begins to affect her life. It was an interesting and challenging character, and I have given it my best.<\/em>\u201d<\/p>\n

Sufia believes that while social media has opened up several opportunities for youngsters, excessive dependence on digital platforms can also impact their privacy and personal lives.<\/p>\n

\u201cSocial media has both pros and cons. It has given youngsters tremendous opportunities and is a great platform for information, knowledge, entertainment and networking. But at the same time, we have become overexposed to each other\u2019s lives.<\/em><\/p>\n

There is a constant pressure to share, post and seek validation,<\/em>\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

Urging youngsters and Gen Z to maintain a healthy balance between their online and real lives, the actress added, \u201cMy request to youngsters is not to let social media become your life. Use it for information, learning, entertainment and productive purposes, but don\u2019t become obsessed with it. You don\u2019t need to post everything and anything about your life. Oversharing can affect your privacy, relationships and even your family and cultural values.<\/em>\u201d<\/p>\n

Sufia hopes \u2018Oye Chill Maar\u2019 will encourage audiences to think about the way social media influences their lives.<\/p>\n

\u201cSocial media is a tool, not your entire life. We need to be conscious about what we put online and how much of our personal lives we expose to the world. I am extremely excited about the release and hope audiences enjoy the film and my character. I would urge everyone to watch \u2018Oye Chill Maar\u2019 in theatres on September 25<\/em>,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

Directed and edited by Nitin M. Rokade and produced by Tulshiram Deorukhkar, the film explores social media obsession, online validation, relationships and emotional consequences of excessive digital exposure.<\/p>\n
