Organised by the Ideate Inspire Ignite\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.i3foundation.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">(i3) \u00a0Foundation<\/a>, the conclave brought together over 25 celebrated mountaineers from \u00a0across India and abroad. For two days, the capital of Jharkhand transformed into a \u00a0melting pot of courage, environmental consciousness, and inspiration, where \u00a0 adventure met advocacy.<\/p>\n<p>The conclave drew some of the most inspiring figures in the world of mountaineering, \u00a0including Jamling Tenzing Norgay, Padma Shri Premlata Agrawal, Chhongzin Angmo \u00a0\u2014 the first visually impaired Indian to summit Everest \u2014 V. Kartikey, the youngest \u00a0 Indian to complete the Seven Summits, and Kamya Karthikeyan, the youngest female \u00a0Seven Summiteer. Also present were Reena Bhatti, Anurag Malloo, Anindya \u00a0 Mukherjee, Col. P.S. Chohan, Lt. Col. Pooja Nautiyal, Satyarup Siddhanta, Sharad \u00a0Kulkarni, Kewal Hiren Kakka, Bhushan Harse, Anmish Varma, Satyadeep Gupta, \u00a0Debraj Dutta, Hemant Gupta, Malay Mukherjee, Jyoti Ratre, Dawa Tashi Sherpa \u2014 sole survivor of the 2014 Everest avalanche \u2014 and Rudra Prasad Halder.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-78048\" src=\"https:\/\/thedeccanmessenger.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/NW-1-1-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1200\" height=\"675\"><\/p>\n<p>The conclave found its true momentum in the dynamic synergy of Satyarup Siddhanta \u00a0and Rajeev Gupta. Satyarup\u2019s record-shattering mountaineering triumphs and stirring \u00a0vision of human potential ignited the audience\u2019s spirit, while Rajeev\u2019s trailblazing \u00a0 community initiatives and transformative leadership gave the gathering its strategic \u00a0depth and lasting purpose. In his inaugural address, i3 Foundation founder and \u00a0director Rajeev Gupta spoke with conviction: \u201cMountaineers don\u2019t just scale summits; \u00a0 they elevate human consciousness. In the icy silence of the Himalayas, they hear the \u00a0cry of a climate crisis that the entire world must now listen to.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Over the course of the two days, a series of powerful sessions took place. Climate \u00a0change took centre stage in a discussion moderated by Anurag Malloo, where \u00a0mountaineering and extreme sports legends like Anindya Mukherjee, Jamling \u00a0Tenzing, Col. P.S. Chohan, SM (Gallantry), and Hemant Gupta highlighted how the \u00a0rapidly changing Himalayan landscape is an urgent warning to humanity. Their \u00a0 message was clear: this is no longer a time to simply conquer peaks, but to restore and \u00a0protect them. Adding a deeply personal dimension were stories of resilience, such as \u00a0Chhongzin Angmo\u2019s battle to summit Everest despite complete blindness, V. \u00a0 Kartikey\u2019s Seven Summits feat at just 16, Kamya Karthikeyan\u2019s achievements at 17, and \u00a0Dawa Tashi Sherpa\u2019s survival against impossible odds.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-78047\" src=\"https:\/\/thedeccanmessenger.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/NW-2-1-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1200\" height=\"675\"><\/p>\n<p>A historic moment came with the presentation of the inaugural\u00a0<strong>Tenzing Norgay \u00a0Excellence Awards<\/strong>, honouring mountaineers for exceptional achievement, \u00a0 inspiration, and exploration in the Indian Himalayas. Jamling Tenzing Norgay \u00a0personally presented the awards to Anmeesh Verma, Keval Kakka, Kamya \u00a0 Karthikeyan, Satyadeep Gupta, Sharad Kulkarni, Chhongzin Angmo, Premlata \u00a0Agrawal, Umesh Zirpe, Anindya Mukherjee, Bhushan Harshe, and V. Kartikey. The<\/p>\n<p>awards carried a special resonance, symbolising not just personal triumphs but a \u00a0commitment to responsible mountaineering.<\/p>\n<p>Women in adventure sports were celebrated in a spirited conversation moderated by \u00a0Anuja Vaidya, featuring Aditi Vaidya, Kamya Karthikeyan, Reena Bhatti, Lt. Col. Pooja \u00a0Nautiyal, and Jyoti Ratre. They shared deeply personal accounts of overcoming \u00a0 challenges to inspire a new generation of women explorers. The conclave also \u00a0dedicated a session to fitness, safety, and resilience, with Hemant Gupta leading an \u00a0engaging discussion alongside Kewal Hiren Kakka, Bhushan Harse, Anmish Varma, \u00a0and Satyadeep Gupta, all of whom emphasised the importance of preparation, \u00a0vigilance, and mental toughness.<\/p>\n<p>The Himalayan Conclave 2025 was made possible through the support of the \u00a0Department of Forest, Environment &amp; Climate Change, Government of Jharkhand, \u00a0 IMF East Zone, Central Coalfields Ltd (CCL), Tata Steel, Adani Power, CyberPeace \u00a0Foundation, RBL Bank, FJCCI, Dr. Pranita Institute, DigiCrow Consulting, Jeevah \u00a0Healthcare, Mission Blue Foundation and Pranami Group.
