Sudarshan was born in Tamil Nadu. He graduated from Madras University- Loyola College. Mr. Sudarshan qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1982. He is a seasoned corporate\/project finance professional with 37+ years of working experience in blue-chip Indian companies and international conglomerates. Mr. Sudarshan has retired and is devoted to the study of Indian philosophy, religion, and literature. He published his two books and contributed articles to various Indian magazines. He enjoys traveling with his wife on pilgrimages across India. He has two children a son and a daughter, who are married and professionals working in their own respective fields in Bangalore. His other interests are Carnatic classical music and blogging.<br \/>\u00a0<br \/>\u00a0For Mr. Sudarshan creative writing has always been a passion. He feels self-fulfilled to have published his book and also received critical acclaim and recognition for it from a wide readership both in India and abroad.<br \/>\u00a0<br \/>\u00a0Mr. Sudarshan has been a regular blogger and online author since 1996. His first book was published in 2016 \u201cThe Unusual Essays of an Unknown Sri Vaishnava.\u201d \u00a0It is a compilation of his essays\/blogs written over the last 20 years on various online platforms.<br \/>\u00a0<br \/>\u00a0Indian philosophy, theology, and religious literature (Sanskrit) especially of the school of Vedanta of Sri Ramanujacharya (11th Century CE) and the Tamil vernacular literature of the mystic saints of Tamil Nadu (the Azhwars and Nayanmars) are his principal inspirations apart from the works of other contemporary historians and philosophers.<br \/>\u00a0<br \/>\u00a0His first book \u201cUnusual Essays of an Unknown Sri Vaishnava\u201d (2016, 2019, and 2021 editions) is about Sri Vaishnavite religious literature. His second book \u201cThe Nondescript God: Abstraction or Patagon\u201d is about Sri Vaishnavite philosophy and metaphysics and comparative study with the Advaita school of thought of Adi Sankara (8th Century CE).<br \/>\u00a0<br \/>\u00a0Mr. Sudarshan explains why every young Indian should read The Nondescript God, \u201cit is a primer to the study of Vedanta philosophy, and the fundamental difference between schools of thought of Adi Sankara and Sri Ramanujacharya. The book is written in the form of an easy-going dialogue between a philosophy student and his mentor. The book is written as a guidebook to Vedantic metaphysics simplified. The book is easy to read and will surely ignite young readers\u2019 interest to delve even further into the fascinating world of Vedanta Philosophy.\u201d<br \/>\u00a0<br \/>\u00a0Mr. Sudarshan is also a freelance corporate finance consultant. In his spare time, he reads, travels, and also listens to classical Carnatic music.<br \/>\u00a0<br \/>\u00a0Mr. Sudarshan is currently writing two new books. He hopes to publish them both in 2023. The first book is a work of translation into English of the work of a very well-known spiritual Acharya of the Sri Vaishnavite school who in the 1960s through the 1990s headed a monastic order of Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu. The second book is an outline of the history of the Sri Vaishnava community of Tamil Nadu.<br \/>\u00a0<br \/>\u00a0Mr. Sudarshan shares his insight with budding authors, \u201c My message to budding authors is to regard Creative Writing as more a way of life than as a career or profession.
